Or no poems at all…?
Motivational affirmations are good for the brain… you just repeat something until it becomes true… I mean, you believe it’s true so it becomes your truth.
I’ve written some fine poems over there too, even a Sonnet based on Shakespeare metrics!
The good thing about IG it’s that it’s not so demanding: you can write every day even a quote or motivational thought and there! you’ve done something, whether it is purging your soul or helping yourself to believe your words can be of help to someone (or at least to yourself…)
I’ve also thought of not writing at all and stop feeding my IG profile, and not only because my inspiration has run dry (thanks for the prompt, Natalie Imbruglia) but also because recently someone (a most curious character, by the way) told me that Art is sustained by Scarcity: when you give much of something, or when your art is too available, it becomes dispensable…
I believe this person had read this in a book, but I’m not sure which one; still I find it’s such an interesting thought and I usually trust the wisdom of the odd stranger ;P
Anyway, if I don’t pay Medium subscription they limit the number of posts I can write, so what’s the point?
