Agree with that, but your individual decisions in that context are not totally “yours” but are determined by the group internal dynamics and their calls for action. And you don’t have other options in that context if you want to “survive” as a member of that group.

Of course you can disagree, object, isolate yourself… but there are generally two options: do what the group says (whether you agree or not) or don’t do it.

Depending on your status in the group, you can also propose alternatives and be successful, but again, most of the time you won’t be given that chance.
